This work has the purpose of proposing an analysis of the black representation of Zarité Sedella from Isabel Allende's ―The island under the sea‖, making a discussion of the importance of black representation and all the profit in the search for the liberated The analysis of the work emerges a deconstruction of the fragile female figure, contemplating as symbol of strength and representation, free of Eurocentric thoughts and racist ideologies, realizing the demystification as an object to be seen as an expressive mark of resistance and overcoming. Analyzes the personage Zarité Sedella against Haitian enslavement, emplacing black women as protagonist of social goals with the desire for liberty, reconnecting their value through their neglect and motherhood, their silenced history and depreciation throughout time take back your space. The theoretical assumptions are based on the studies of BEAUVOIR (1980), BUCK (2005), DAVIS (2005), JABARDO (2012) PERROT (2006).
