| dc.description.abstract | Environmental Education is an important tool to improve the relationship with the environment in which we live. However, the lack of experiences recorded in the literature on how this theme is approached with rural dwellers is notorious. In this context, it is important to see how students residing and studying in these areas understand the Environment theme, what environmental problems exist and how solid wastes are treated. This research was qualitative and quantitative. The subjects investigated were 22 students from the 6th grade of the Justino Costa Elementary School, located in the municipality of Breves, Marajó Archipelago, Pará. This research was carried out in the following stages: the application of a diagnostic questionnaire, sensorial practical activity, virtual learning object use and interviewing by means of a script in order to evaluate the activities developed with the students. It was verified that 72% of the students already heard about Environment, however, before the intervention the students had a naturalistic conception of the environmental theme and after the intervention there was a change and they were already included in the environment, indicating a globalizing vision. Among the main environmental problems perceived by the students in the community in which they live are the fires, which may be related to the destination of the waste. In this work it was noticed that from the actions of environmental education the students were sensitized and had interest with the theme, with new behaviors that will make a difference in the place that they live. | |
| dc.description.resumo | A Educação Ambiental é uma importante ferramenta para melhorar a relação com o meio em que vivemos. Mas, é notória a carência de experiências registradas na literatura de como essa temática é abordada com moradores do meio rural. Nesse contexto, é importante verificar como os alunos que residem e estudam nessas áreas compreendem o tema Meio Ambiente, quais os problemas ambientais existentes e como os resíduos sólidos são tratados. Esta pesquisa realizada teve caráter qualitativo e quantitativo. Os sujeitos investigados foram 22 alunos do 6º ano da escola Municipal de Ensino Infantil e Fundamental Justino Costa, localizada no município de Breves, Arquipélago do Marajó, Pará. Esta pesquisa ocorreu nas seguintes etapas: aplicação de questionário diagnóstico, intervenção realizada por meio de palestra, atividade prática sensorial, uso de objeto virtual de aprendizagem e realização de entrevista por meio de um roteiro a fim de avaliar as atividades desenvolvidas com os alunos. Verificou-se que 72% dos alunos já ouviram falar sobre Meio Ambiente, entretanto, antes da intervenção os alunos possuíam uma concepção naturalista do tema meio ambiente e após a intervenção houve uma mudança e eles já se incluíam no meio ambiente, indicando uma visão globalizante. Dentre os principais problemas ambientais percebidos pelos alunos na comunidade em que vivem estão às queimadas, o que pode estar ligado ao destino dos resíduos. Neste trabalho percebeu-se que a partir das ações de educação ambiental os alunos se sensibilizaram e tiveram interesse com a temática, surgindo novos comportamentos que farão diferença no lugar que eles vivem. | |
