| dc.description.abstract | This work aims to analyze the work Senhora, by José de Alencar, highlighting the criticism and contradictions present in Brazilian society in the 19th century, through his romantic work, which builds a female character who is educated to exercise autonomy as an individual. , thus being contradictory to the rigid upbringing of the other women of that period. In this sense, this article aims to analyze the trajectory of the protagonist Aurélia Camargo and her character, through her behavior in the face of the social ills of the 19th century, in order to identify the habits, customs and education of women in that society. Which thus demonstrates the predominance of the masculine over the feminine will and the fact that women were destined for a life of submission. We seek to discuss these relationships considering the female character and the context of the time, which is shaped by patriarchy and bourgeois education. It seeks to articulate with the themes of marriage, behavior, values and submission the context of society. And so to investigate to what extent Aurélia's attitude and her character relate to each other, with the moral and social values of the time, and what characteristics of an idealized woman she shows herself in the work. | pt_BR |
| dc.description.resumo | Este trabalho tem o objetivo de analisar a obra Senhora, de José de Alencar ressaltando a crítica e às contradições presentes na sociedade brasileira do século XIX, por meio de sua obra romântica, a qual constrói uma personagem feminina que é educada para exercer autonomia como indivíduo, sendo assim contraditória à educação rígida das demais mulheres desse período. Neste sentido, este artigo tem a finalidade de analisar a trajetória da protagonista Aurélia Camargo e o seu caráter, através do seu comportamento diante das mazelas sócias do século XIX, a fim de identificar os hábitos, costumes e a educação das mulheres dessa sociedade. O qual demonstrar assim o predomínio do masculino sobre a vontade feminina e o fato de que às mulheres se destinava uma vida de submissão. Busca-se discutir estas relações considerando a personagem feminina e o contexto da época, o qual é moldado pelo patriarcalismo e pela educação burguesa. Procura-se articular com as temáticas do casamento, comportamento, valores e submissão o contexto da sociedade. E assim investigar até que ponto a atitude de Aurélia e seu caráter discorrem entre si, com os valores morais e sociais da época, e qual as características de mulher idealizada ela mostrar-se na obra. | pt_BR |
