dc.description.abstractIntroduction: The literature is unanimous in highlighting the benefits that breastfeeding brings to health in the baby, the mother and society. In 1992, who and the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) launched the Child­-Friendly Hospital Initiative (HIAH), which aims to support, protect and promote breastfeeding, the joint accommodation is a tool used in hospitals that have the HAHI seal, in the MOTHER and baby CA remain together 24 hours a day together in the postpartum period , the woman is encouraged to breastfeed and care for the newborn, with the main objective of stimulating breastfeeding and also strengthening the bond between them. Objective: To identify the prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding in a referral hospital in maternal and child care. Methodology: This is a cross-­sectional, descriptive, quantitative-­qualitative study targeting 30 internal puerperal women of a reference Public Hospital in Maternal And Child care in the city of Belém-­PA. The qualitative data were analyzed using the SOFTWARE IRAMUTEQ, In the quantitative data the analysis was made through the BioStat tool. Results: All puerperal women underwent prenatal care, where they received information about the AM, 66.7% reported that they had no skin-­to­-skin contact with the baby soon after delivery. Regarding the joint housing, it was found that it was not started soon after birth for 60.0% of the postpartum women. Regarding the support received in the joint accommodation, the majority received guidance on the importance of breastfeeding (76.7%) and incentive to breastfeed exclusively (80.0%). Most mothers, when questioned, show interest in breastfeeding their child exclusively for 6 months and extend breastfeeding indefinitely, because they observe benefits such as improved immunity for the child, growth and expected development for age, strengthening the bond between mother and baby and benefits in maternal health itself. Conclusion: it can be observed in the mothers' reports that the majority received information about the AM, empowering them about the importance of breastfeeding, however, the information provided still needs improvement and updates, requiring training of the teams involved in the processes of prenatal, labor and postpartum, being important to include the family in this whole process.pt_BR
dc.description.resumoIntrodução: A literatura é unânime em destacar os benefícios que o aleitamento materno acarreta na saúde no bebê, da mãe e da sociedade. Em 1992, a OMS e o Fundo das Nações Unidas para a Infância (UNICEF), lançaram a Iniciativa Hospital Amigo da Criança (IHAC), que tem como objetivo apoiar, proteger e promover o aleitamento materno. O alojamento conjunto (AC) é uma ferramenta utilizadas nos hospitais que possuem o selo de IHAC. No AC mãe e bebê permanecem 24 horas por dia juntos no pós-­parto, a mulher é estimulada a amamentar e cuidar do recém nascido, com objetivo principal de estimular o aleitamento materno e também fortalecer o vínculo entre eles. Objetivo: Identificar a prevalência do aleitamento materno exclusivo em um Hospital Iniciativa Amigo da Criança (IHAC) em Belém do Pará. Metodologia: Trata-­se de um estudo transversal, descritivo, quanti­-qualitativo tendo como público alvo 30 puérperas internas no alojamento conjunto de um IHAC público em atendimento Materno Infantil no município de Belém­-PA. Os dados qualitativos foram analisados por meio do software IRAMUTEQ. Os dados quantitativos foram analisados por meio do BioStat. Resultados: Todas as puerperas realizaram o pré-natal, onde receberam informações sobre o AM, 66,7% relataram não haver tido o contato pele-­a­-pele com o bebê logo após o parto. No que diz respeito ao alojamento conjunto, verificou­-se que não foi iniciado logo após o nascimento para 60,0% das puérperas. Quanto ao apoio recebido no alojamento conjunto, a maioria recebeu orientações sobre a importância da amamentação (76,7%) e incentivo para amamentar exclusivamente (80,0%). A maioria das mães, quando questionadas, demonstraram interesse em amamentar seu filho exclusivamente por 6 meses e estender a amamentação por tempo indeterminado, pois as mesmas observaram benefícios como o melhora da imunidade para a criança, crescimento e desenvolvimento esperado para a idade, fortalecimento do vínculo entre mãe e bebê e benefícios na própria saúde materna. Conclusão: pôde-­se observar nos relatos das mães que a maioria recebeu informações sobre o AM, capacitando às mesmas acerca da importância da amamentação, tendo em vista que essa é uma característica dos IHAC. Entretanto, as informações prestadas ainda necessitam de aperfeiçoamento e atualizações, sendo necessário treinamento das equipes envolvidas nos processos de pré-natal, trabalho de parto e pós­-parto, sendo importante incluir a família em todo esse processo.pt_BR
