Due to the large number of estuaries and the size of the ZCA, there is a great gap in the knowledge about the meteorological conditions, and for that reason, the objective of this work was to describe the meteoceanographic parameters, due to the seasonality, tide, and occurrence of ENSO phenomenon. The work was carried out in the Mojuim river, north of Brazil, near the mouth of a large estuary (of the river Pará), which are under the influence of meso to macrotidal semidiurnal and with warm humid climate classified as AWA'A. Precipitation, wind, temperature (air and water) and water conductivity data were collected from a fixed meteoceanographic station scheduled to take measurements every 5 minutes from January 2016 to April 2017. Salinity values, daily and monthly values were calculated of these and of the other physical parameters mentioned above, besides analyzing the influence of ENOS on the precipitation and related the hydrological and atmospheric parameters, through the Pearson correlation. The precipitation results showed higher values during January to April, and lower values from August to December of 2016, with rains well distributed throughout the months, except for the month of January and December. During the analyzed months, precipitation was high in El Niño, and low in La Niña. The winds showed predominant direction to the northeast and with a maximum speed of 10 m / s and winds of 3 to 5 m / s more frequent; with more defined winds in the months less rainy and with a variation of the intensity influenced by the temperature of the air. This last had a small seasonal variation, but the months of May, June and July presented a monthly high thermal amplitude, in relation to the other months. In the analyzed months, the salinity varied from 0 to 30, and showed strong variation with the tide and the precipitation in the seasonal periods. As well as, the temperature of the water was influenced greatly by the air temperature, but with a seasonal variation smaller than the same. Therefore, the region presented 3 well-marked seasonal periods (as already observed by other authors); reverse effect of precipitation during ENSO; influence of the trade winds in the direction and the temperature of the air in the intensity of the winds; low seasonal variation of air and water temperature; and seasonal variation of salinity similar to other localities in the Amazon coastal zone.Acesso AbertoEstuáriosMeteorologiaOceanografiaRio Mojuim - PASão Caetano de Odivelas - PAAmazônia BrasileiraCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::OCEANOGRAFIAEstudo dos parâmetros meteoceanográficos de um estuário amazônicoTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
