Therefore, this research presents the results of a work presented at the 59th Brazilian Chemistry Congress in the form of an expanded abstract, focusing on the plant species Bertholletia Excelsa, also known as Brazil Nut, one of the most important species in the Amazon, which presents multiple derivatives. In this context, this study explains the processes of extracting the oil from the referred species, with the aim of comparing the results obtained by the manual pressing method with the current literature.
