Therefore, the main theme of this study is to evaluate the importance of the participation of fathers/mothers in school. The overall objective of the study sought to understand the extent to which the participation of the family in the student's school life can contribute to achieving satisfactory results ino the learning of the children, and how the partnership established between family/school can help in the social formation of the individual.. In addition to understanding how the family has transformed over decades and how this transformation has affected the activities developed by the school, addressing the importance of the family in student school learning and identifying how family participation occurs in the school. As methodological procedures, a field research was adopted for data collection involving parents, students and teachers. Based on the results of this study, it is possible to affirm that the partnership between family/school is fundamental for the teaching/learning process, since the family influences this process.
