Typically, their application is related to significant loss of dental structure, and they are used after endodontic treatment, as the pin is inserted into the root canal. In this sense, fiber pins are gaining prominence in the market due to their excellent mechanical and structural properties. This research aims to compare the fracture resistance of both the glass fiber pin and the quartz fiber pin in posterior teeth. Searches were conducted in the electronic databases Scielo, PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Scopus from the years 2016 to 2025. A total of 1353 results were found, but only 5 articles were selected as they met the study's requirements. The quartz fiber post has high mechanical strength, a modulus of elasticity similar to that of dentin, better light transmission, as well as the density and orientation of the fibers with a better distribution of forces. On the other hand, the glass fiber post has high mechanical strength, a modulus of elasticity close to that of dentin, better adhesiveness, and homogeneity with the resin.
