Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/2979Pregnancy is a physiological phenomenon and should been seen by pregnant women and health teams as part of a healthy life experience. Among the recurrent complications in the gestational period, the Specific Hypertensive Syndrome of Gestation (SHEG) requires emphasis in the context of public health, because it is the first cause of maternal mortality in Brazil and the third in the world. . However, it is a borderline situation, where the preexistence of some disease or grievance, makes the likelihood of unfavorable evolution in pregnancy greater, implying risks for both the mother and the fetus, characterizing these women as “high-risk pregnant women”. Thus, access to timely, humanized and good quality health care favors prevention and would prevent many women from lose their lives for reproductive reasons. Therefore, it is important to talk about the prevention of hypertensive syndrome and know the main obstacles that hinder its implementation in prenatal care, because it is an essential and indispensable component for the reduction of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality. The study sought to portray what the literature exposes about the prevention of Specific Hypertensive Syndrome of Gestation (SHSG), in addition to identifying the main causes that hinder the effectiveness of prevention of SHSG in prenatal care. The studies were chosen from editions published and indexed in the LILACS and BDENF databases. The selection was made including complete articles in Portuguese, national, related to the theme, from 2015 to 2019, and elides, theses, dissertations and literature review. Based on the reading of the title and abstract, were classified as pre-selected articles and soon after the second analysis focusing on the guiding question were indicated 6 articles, which after being studied integrated the discussion of the final study, where in the database BDENF were found 4 articles, in the database LILACS 2 article and 1 can be found in both databases, 4 articles referring to the year 2018, 02 concerning the year 2017 and 1 belonging to the year 2016. It was highlighted that there are public policies that ensure the pregnant woman the minimum of consultations and humanized care, however, this is not the reality experienced by many women. It is noted that old demands still persist, such as lack of infrastructure of care units; inadequate assistance to pregnant women; ineffective communication between professional and pregnant women and scarcity of materials, it is considered that effective actions that provide pregnant women with timely quality care, aiming to ensure autonomy for care practices contributes to the reduction of maternal and perinatal mortality rates.
