Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/2748The phylum Nematoda comprises more than 90% of the total abundance of Metazoans and is composed by 450 genera and about 26646 species. The present work identified the genus Oncholaimellus (family Oncholaimidae) at species level, describing its distribution and the species main morphological chacracteristics at River Docemounth. The samplings were carried on during two surveys, December 2010 (summer) and July 2011 (winter). The sampling was conducted in 20 stations distributed along River Docemounth, with a Mega Van-veen and a Box-Corer, both launched three times, representing three replicates. The sampled sediment was sub-sampled with a square (10x10x10cm) and conserved with formol 10%. Nematoda were separated and mounted in permanent slides, individuals of Oncholaimellus isolated and identified to species level. The genus Oncholaimellus corresponded to 44% of the total abundance of the family Oncholaimidae, data similar to those recorded in the Potiguar Basin. In the Foz do Rio Doce, 6 species were identified and these presented heterogeneous distribution. The genus Oncholaimellus presented low values of density in the deppest station in both periods collected. The overlap of two likely generations of the species might be due to the variation in the population structure of the genus. Oncholaimellus sp.2 was the species that obtained a more extensive distribution, including intersex. The 6 species of Oncholaimellus presented distinct morphologies in the spicule shape. The ANOSIM test showed that there were no significant differences in the associations of Oncholaimellus between climatic periods and neither between depth ranges of the sampling stations. The food habit may be a possible justification for this result. It was possible to identify Oncholaimellus sineporus, and this species was previously described and recorded in the Potiguar Basin. Although it was not possible during this work to identify and presente a complete description of all Oncholaimellus species, it was possible to observe marked morphological differences between them species and thus contributed even more to the better understanding of the genus Oncholaimellus in Foz do Rio Doce.Acesso AbertoBentos - Doce, Rio, (ES)Zoologia - ClassificaçãoPlataforma Continental (ES)CNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::OCEANOGRAFIADiversidade morfológica e distribuição espaço-Temporal do gênero Oncholaimellus (Nematoda, Enoplida, Oncholaimidae) na foz do rio Doce, BrasilTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
