The aim of this study was to describe and analyze the epidemiological characteristics of meningitis in the state of Pará, Brazil, from 2009 to 2024. This is a descriptive, retrospective epidemiological study based on secondary data from cases reported in the Notifiable Diseases Information System (SINAN) and the Department of Informatics of the Unified Health System (DATASUS). Variables related to the number of cases, sex, etiology, clinical outcome, incidence, and vaccination coverage were analyzed. The results indicated a high number of cases during the study period, with a predominance in males. The main etiology identified was bacterial, differing from the pattern observed in other regions of the country. A reduction in cases was observed up to 2013, followed by a progressive increase until 2018, a decline between 2019 and 2020, and a new increase from 2021 onward. Regarding clinical outcomes, a reduction in deaths and an increase in the cure rate were observed.
