Earth sciences can allow the search for solutions to the problems generated by man, not just by his scientific contribution. It is possible to find contents related to the Geosciences in the PCNs and, therefore, it is possible to approach it in the programmatic contents from the Elementary School, systematized in the discipline of Science. Although geoscientific contents are present in today's school curricula, it is practically impossible to approach them adequately without the teacher's preparation, without understanding and appropriating the peculiarities of Geosciences.
