Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8927This study aimed to analyze the racial inequalities experienced by Black children in elementary school in Bragança, Pará. The method is based on a qualitative approach, involving participant observation and a conversation circle structured around storytelling and drawings, with the participation of nine (9) children enrolled in the first grade of elementary school in a municipal public school. Data were interpreted using Laurence Bardin's Content Analysis. The results demonstrate the centrality of the human figure, the valorization of protagonism, and the connection with cultural contexts in the drawings. It was also observed that certain supervision and disciplinary practices can reproduce hierarchies, assigning unequal roles to children based on skin color, even when their behaviors are similar to those of their peers. Playful interactions reveal how stereotypes and racial inequalities manifest symbolically, limiting the protagonism of Black children.
