Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9417Environmental education (EE) should be a continuous process, encompassing educational activities in which students develop a critical and conscious perspective and exercise citizenship, proposing practical solutions aimed at sustainability. Educating and raising awareness among students to pay attention to environmental issues is na extremely important topic. In this context, the objective of this study was to analyze the pedagogical activities promoted during a field class on environmental impacts in urban spaces in the city of Bragança do Pará, Amazonas. The activities took place with a 12th-grade class, and the methodological procedures included: classroom discussion with the class about environmental issues, a diagnostic walk through the city streets, in which students were encouraged to take photographs and write down their observations, and later, the students wrote na opinion piece about the activity, which will be used as a tool for data analysis. The results show that there is na understanding between environmental problems and human intervention. Their writings reveal critical and reflective skills regarding individual and collective attitudes and behaviors for environmental well-being. Through these, they emphasize environmental awareness as a practice and suggest ways to mitigate possible impacts on the environment.
