Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7875This work presents the design of a rotating gantry for a mobile lifeline system, using the Finite Element Method (FEM) as a structural analysis tool. The main objective was to evaluate the mechanical resistance and viability of the gantry to guarantee the safety of workers at heights, in accordance with standards NR-35, NBR 16325-1 and NBR 16325-2. The structure was modeled and analyzed considering real conditions of use, focusing on identifying stresses, deformations and maximum displacements. The analysis included checking compliance with the safety and resistance requirements of the materials used, such as ASTM A36 and A572 steel, in addition to tubes in accordance with NBR 8261:2010. The results demonstrated that the structure meets safety criteria, with stresses below allowable limits and displacements within acceptable ranges. The study also evaluated the fixing elements, such as screws, and the counterweight, proving their effectiveness in stabilizing the system.
