Acesso em: .http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/1930The growing proportion of urban dwellers excluded from regular processes of access to land and housing puts us to question the adequacy of public policies that have been adopted in land use management and its environmental impacts in the areas of permanent preservation and watercourses in urban watersheds. For both a quantitative and qualitative research, having been held used, direct inductive and indirect methods where primary data and secondary data were obtained, used the techniques of environmental impact assessment: Ad-hoc check list and matrices of interaction, in order to assess the environmental impacts associated with the use of processes and land use in the areas of permanent preservation of Redemption and Gago streams of the City of Redemption / PA.
