Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8750This article aims to investigate the possible approaches to teaching dance within a creative process applied to musical theatre, focusing on the trechinho method developed by the author in a class at Casa de Artes Tiago de Pinho, located in Belém do Pará, Brazil. Based on the practical experience of creating the production Les Misérables, adapted and staged as a school performance by this institution, the research seeks to critically reflect on the teaching strategies employed, their effectiveness in the classroom, and the impacts observed on students throughout the semester. The study adopts a qualitative approach, with a descriptive and exploratory character, using interviews, observations, and process reports as research instruments. The analysis is grounded in theoretical foundations that address dance pedagogy, scenic creation, and emancipatory education, particularly through the lens of Paulo Freire.
