In this context, the present study aimed to evaluate the application of lubricating oil analysis as a predictive maintenance tool for an agricultural sprayer, with the purpose of identifying early signs of wear in mechanical components and assessing its contribution to maintenance planning. The methodology consisted of the first oil monitoring campaign carried out on the equipment, involving the collection of oil samples from the engine, hydraulic system, and final drives, which were sent to a specialized laboratory for spectrometric and physicochemical analyses. The results revealed high concentrations of wear metals and elevated Particle Quantifier (PQI) Index values in the rear final drives, indicating premature wear in these compartments. Subsequently, a mechanical inspection performed by an authorized John Deere service team confirmed the wear of the internal components, validating the diagnosis obtained through oil analysis. Furthermore, the early detection of the anomaly allowed maintenance to be performed while the equipment was still under the manufacturer's warranty, significantly reducing the amount effectively paid by the company compared to the total repair estimate.
