This study aimed to evaluate the effect of applying weekly assessments, in the form of a quiz, on the learning process in the curricular component of Multidisciplinary Integration III at the Faculty of Dentistry of the Federal University of Pará (FOUFPA). For this retrospective observational study, the fields "grade of quiz" and "grade of assessment" of the classes of the second semester of 2018 and the first and second semesters of 2019 were evaluated. Students of the morning and afternoon shifts integrated the groups "with quiz” (n= 61) and “without quiz” (n = 81) respectively. Participants belonging to the “with quiz” group filled out a questionnaire with objective answers about their perceptions and opinions about the activity developed. The data referring to the number of quizzes performed and the average of the quiz scores were tabulated. The statistical analyzes used were Student's t-test and Pearson's correlation coefficient. The application of a weekly quiz proved to have a positive effect on the final evaluation score in one of the classes (p <0.0002). Also, there was a significant result of the correlation between the means of the final grades of the students and the scores of the weekly quiz, with moderate correlation in two classes, and strong in one of them (r = 0.86; p <0.0001).
