Acesso em: .http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/1979The Mina de Bauxita de Juruti is located in Juruti, in the west of Pará, it is a young mine, which is in operation by Alcoa SA mining company since September 2009, with a current production of 6 million tons of ore per year. The mining of ore is carried from the mining method in strips, starting with the removal of vegetation (vegetation removal), starting for the stripping (removal of overlying material), the overburden layer for exposing the ore, so that, finally, there is the ore mining, to then start the recovery of areas that have been mined. Among the operations that involve the daily production in a mining, the steps of loading and transport are seen as two of the most important productive mining process. Variables such as production volume and operating conditions directly impact the selection of equipment and fleet sizing, always seeking the lower operating costs and increased productivity. Daily miners are challenged to seek increased productivity and reduced operating costs, challenges that require good planning and good management in all production stages, mainly in mining, where, generally, the higher operating costs of a are inserted venture. This study aims to expose the operating gains related to productivity improvements and cost reductions in ore transport activity from improvements implemented in the standardization of the average load from the bauxite mining equipment transport. The application of standardized ore shipping charge showed good results in the years 2014 and 2015.
