Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9090The main objective of this study was to evaluate and verify the importance of practical activities in the teaching of concepts of the field of chemistry knowledge in the 9th year of elementary education in a school of the municipal education network of the municipality of Breves - Pará. through the PIBID-UFPA-Sciences-Brief subproject entitled "The use of the multidisciplinary laboratory in scientific literacy actions to compose science classes in elementary schools from the 6th to the 9th grade" in the year 2016. For both qualitative and quantitative research was carried out, and the data were obtained through the application of questionnaires containing open and closed questions, to a sample of 50 students from two groups of the 9th grade. After the interpretive analyzes, the data were exposed through graphs and transcription of responses. The results show that most of the interviewees like to study chemistry, but the classes are still quite developed based on the transmission of contents through the use of textbooks and without the use of differentiated methodologies.
