To this end, the method developed by Ferreira and Sanches (2001) was used, which determines the Sidewalk Quality Index (SQI). The study area chosen was the vicinity of a roundabout at the intersection of Rodovia dos Trabalhadores, Rua Providência, Avenida Dom Vicente Zico, and Avenida Arterial 5-A, which has heavy vehicle and pedestrian traffic.
