Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8503We know that the environmental issue is an issue that has been discussed constantly in the media, making us question about the environmental problems arose and what we do to it softens. This course conclusion work aimed to know the conceptions of students in 9th grade of elementary school to of the theme biodiversity in the state school "Meadow Lopes" city of Curralinho. In order to know whether the subject biodiversity and why it's important, if you already had contact with this subject before in school, if they can identify the causes of biodiversity loss and how their loss will affect our planet. To reach this knowledge was applied a questionnaire with open questions in two classes of the 9th year of that school, getting the total of 55 questionnaires analyzed qualitatively, with the approach of exploratory research, descriptive and explanatory. Through research we can see that because of the popularity of the subject many students have heard about biodiversity, however few know define it clearly and objectively, most students mentioned having studied this subject in 6th grade, due to the same curriculum as concerns about biodiversity loss is possible to see that many students still think of anthropocentric way, worrying only with the survival of the human species.
