This study aims to analyze the approaches found in scientific literature regarding graduate tracking—specifically within the Information Science Database, SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online), and Dimensions—covering publications up to 2025. It is a literature review employing a qualitative and exploratory approach. Articles were categorized based on their specific approaches. Those focusing on professional practice were analyzed in terms of employability, job role, income, and employing institution. The most frequent categories were professional pactice, profile, and professional Skills and competencies. Regarding professional practice, the typical Library Science graduate is a young woman (aged 20–24) working in the public sector—particularly in universities, often as a faculty member—with significant employment also found in public administration agencies.
