Acesso em:.http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/1069The objective of the present study is to minimize the total transportation costs of soybeans produced in the MATOPIBA region for export using linear programming. The costs incurred in the problem were elaborated from the routes that connect the producing origins to the destiny of the soybean in the external market, passing through certain points of transhipment. The work was elaborated considering 11 origins, represented by each mesoregion producing the 4 states of MATOPIBA and 2 international destinations, Shanghai and Hamburg. For Shanghai, the routes through the Panama Canal and the Cape of Good Hope were considered. Completing the model, it was considered 10 Brazilian exporting ports, named transhipment points. From this definition, eight scenarios were elaborated for the problem, altering the capacity of the exporting ports, the quantity offered and demanded of soybean, besides the alteration of internal routes linked to the exporter ports. Thus, the scenarios constructed with the greatest number of multimodal routes generated the lowest transport costs, always indicating the maritime transport to Shanghai through the Cape of Good Hope, analyzing the exports of the years 2017 and 2027.
