Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8301The present work has as its object of study the analysis of data on the quantity of the main crimes that occurred in the municipality of Castanhal in the year (2023). Recorded by the 5th MILITARY POLICE BATTALION (5th BPM) headquartered in the city of Castanhal/PA. Thus, after collecting and processing the information, the statistical analysis began, processing a total of 8,200 records that occurred in the year 2023, subdivided into 07 types of infractions, during the period of 12 months; such as: Theft; Robbery; Fraud; Threat; Bodily harm; Insult and Drug trafficking. In this context, the crimes: Theft and Robbery, remained in (1st and 2nd) position, with 29.5% and 27.5% respectively of the total records in 2023. From a Geostatistical analysis, it was possible to identify areas with the highest crime incidence, such as the neighborhoods: "Centro and Jaderlândia. However, it was corroborated with the verification of the month of October, as the one with the highest crime frequency, and in this context, the week, in that month, with the highest number of records was extracted, and from the analysis, the days with the highest crime flow were identified. In addition, through a data overlap process, the times with the highest rates of illicit activities were measured. The results of these verifications are of utmost importance, for possible solutions in an elaborated strategic planning, in order to support local public security managers, in possible decision-making. From a comparative analysis between the years 2022 and 2023, There was a significant increase in illicit acts in (2023) with a total of: 8,200 records, surpassing the year (2022), which maintained a total value of: 7,752 records. With an increase of "448" records. Representing a variation rate of approximately: 5.8 %. However, the crimes of theft and robbery in (2023) continued to be the illicit acts with the highest rates, despite suffering a reduction in the context, general for this year.
