Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7705This research aims to analyze the implications of the “Escolibras” project as an inclusive action focused on the teaching-learning process of Brazilian Sign Language in regular classes from the 1st to the 5th grade of Elementary School at Dr. Lauro Sodré School. The methodology adopted was field research with a qualitative approach. The subjects investigated were: 02 (two) school principals and 02 (two) pedagogical coordinators of the aforementioned schools. The semi-structured interview was used as the data collection technique. The research is anchored in the authors: Goldfeld (2002); Karnopp (2004); Cunha (2012), Albres (2012) and others. The results indicate that the methodologies adopted in the project are presented in a diversified way, with the use of concrete materials, textbooks, handouts and the blackboard as a pedagogical resource. The same research also reveals that there are many and significant difficulties, such as: lack of teaching resources; schools still do not have the financial resources to purchase teaching materials for teaching Libras.
