Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/4975Introduction: the Alzheimer's Disease is the most common etiology of the syndrome dementias and a chronic – degenerative disease which affects the life of the bearer, but also the lives of their caregivers. Objectives: To describe the profile of the patient with Alzheimer associated with ABRAz - PA and caregivers as pertine events related to this activity. Patients and Methods: A study was conducted individual, observational, cross, which is predominantly descriptive of the kind of case study, from lifting of records of patients and caregivers connected to the Brazilian Association of Alzheimer - Pará (ABRAz-PA), residents in Belém, PA. To this end, used a standard protocol individualized, with questions open and closed, which listed all the variables clinical and epidemiological in epidemiological studies of actors, with a sample of 9 patients and 17 caregivers. Results: arithmetical average found the age of the carriers was 79.6 years, with the majority of females (88.9%). Among caregivers 41.2% had 50 years or more, 82.4% of caregivers are female, 88.2% are relatives of the bearer and 11.8% receive salary. Crying easily, dejection, tiredness, irritability and delay to sleep after resting in bed, are the symptoms reported by most caregivers; 64.7% not seek support clinical or pathological.
