In this context, the body is internalized and understood both as a technical apparatus and as a sensitive, cognitive, communicative, and expressive cartography. Somatic practices in dance contribute positively to injury prevention, bodily reorganization, the mapping of conscious movement, and the expansion of possibilities in creative processes. This article proposes an evaluation based on a methodological model designed to identify the state of the art regarding publications on Somatic Education and Dance, through a bibliometric analysis of international scientific production indexed in the Web of Science (WOS) database between 2000 and 2025. Considering that the exclusive use of the term “Somatic Education” as a descriptor tends to limit searches, the study highlights the need to combine related terms such as body awareness, movement therapies, body-mind methods, and education. The data were processed using the software VOSviewer and CitNetExplorer, which enabled the mapping of citations, authors, countries, journals, and scientific collaboration networks. The results reveal the temporal evolution of publications, the identification of thematic trends, and the detection of gaps that may be explored in future research.
