This study aims to understand the collective perception of community residents regarding the pillars of One Health and its implementation as public health policy; it employed a qualitative, descriptive, and exploratory scientific methodology. The results indicate that none of the families were familiar with the One Health concept, nor had professionals from the health, environmental, social assistance, agricultural, or education sectors introduced the concept for discussion within the community. It is evident that One Health public policies— institutionalized in Brazil—are either not being implemented or are not reaching the community.
