Qualidade da água consumida em bebedouros dos setores básico e profissional da Cidade Universitária Professor José da Silveira Netto - UFPA, Belém - Pará. Acesso em: .http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/1421The quality of consumed waters in Professor José da Silveira Netto City University from the drinkers of the (local) was subjected to qualitative analysis, in which 15 samples from 12 drinking fountains and 3 deep wells located in the basic and professional sectors (ETA) Campus were collected respectively for physic-chemical water analysis, it was analyzed the following of ions and parameters: pH, total hardness, conductivity, total solids dissolved, turbidity, chloride, fluoride, sulfate, total iron, sodium, potassium, calcium, magnesium, ammonium, nitrate and total alkalinity. The sedimentary packages that accumulate groundwater in the study area are three sets of trainers major aquifers: Barreiras, Upper and Lower Pirabas. The ETA well 3 is the one which has a larger volume of water. This water is treated and destined to points of consumption on campus UFPA whose flow is 200 m³/h. Based on the physic-chemical results achieved in the wells and troughs in the study area, it is observed that there are restrictions for human consumption according to the Decree n.° 2914/2011 of the Ministry of Health and OMS for the parameters iron and turbidity. However, if we consider only the troughs for the classification of water quality, it appears that 75% of the samples show good water quality, with no further restrictions in general for human consumption. Regarding the hardness of the water fountains and wells exhibit similar patterns of classification, ranging from "Moderately Hard" to "Hard" (smaller amount in both), in which all had values within the limit established by Ordinance No. 2914 MS up to 500 mg/L CaCO3. According to Art 3 of CONAMA Resolution No. 396/2008, the groundwater in the study area can be classified as Class 2. And according to CONAMA Resolution No. 357/2005, 100% of the sampled groundwater wells are the sweet type. It is recommended that some actions in the Campus area UFPA such as: qualitative monitoring water analyzed to better control, perform preventive and corrective maintenance of treatment units, as well as the exchange (respecting the validity) and maintenance of filters and equipment, in the case of troughs, in order to ensure water quality for all users.
