Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8740This paper presents an analysis of the short story "nóis mudemo" (we change), by Fidêncio Bogo, based on the sociolinguistic, identity-based, and discursive knowledge characterized by its context. It also seeks to highlight a renewed vision of how to teach Brazilian Portuguese in schools, demonstrating a new teaching/learning process for this discipline, valuing the characteristics of the students, who carry with them such social markers and ultimately end up within the school environment. The aim is to recognize the particularities of the student and, from this perspective, propose meaningful approaches to the acquisition of Portuguese language knowledge in the classroom. This study uses a literature review as its methodology, with a discursive analytical approach, outlining a strategy for interrelations between language, identity, and discourse. Therefore, we sought to discuss Bagno, Hall, and Ramalho & Resende for this analysis. From this perspective, we investigate dialectal variations, speech particularities, social identity, and the power demonstrated by discourse in the short story.
