Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/4240The purpose of this article is to outline a critical perspective on mining and its impacts in the municipality of Parauapebas / PA, besides the possibility of understanding the collection of the Financial Compensation for Mineral Exploration to examine the efficiency of the public management of the municipality, within a dimension of a social and environmental law and / or sustainable, to mitigate local socioeconomic problems. The research was focused on the analysis of social and sustainability indicators and on the reading and understanding of the researches and bibliographies already existent in the theme.
