Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/2684The Amazon estuary is mainly composed by Amazon and Tocantins rivers, which present a complex and extensive network of drainage, with intense regimes of fluvial discharges. Part of the discharge of the Amazon River through the little channels next of Breves city, added to the discharge of Tocantins , Acará , Moju, Capim and Guamá rivers, form the estuary of the Pará River, which has its terminal course known as Marajó Bay, toward the ocean adjacent . The study area covers the parallels 1.50 S ° - 1.60 ° S and 48.95 ° W - 48.85 ° meridian. This study aimed to relate the hydrodynamic parameters with the system of local transport, with regard to the action of tidal and river discharge. For the data acquisition of the currents an ADCP profiler were used, operating at 600 kHz and coupled to the vessel, performing transversal sections in the river channel during a cycle of semidiurnal tide in three oceanographic campaigns: May and September 2011 (wet and dry periods, respectively) and June 2013 ( transition between periods) . All results for the resulting volume transport were related to export water from estuarine system toward the bay Marajó . The value of the resulting transport was higher in the first campaign (74,391 m³ / s) and lowest in the third one (10,828 m³ / s), the second campaign presented an intermediate value of 45,387 m³ / s. The main channel of Pará river to the study area, situated on the left margin with 70 m isobaths, proved to be the main morphological feature resulting in transport volume.
