Thus, even if the main purpose is to consume the production and commercialization is in the background, it is necessary to analyze the investment required and the expected return, considering the opportunity cost. The objective of this study was to establish the minimum viable module for family fish farming in ponds in the State of Pará. In May 2024, a survey of zootechnical indexes of the main species, prices of basic inputs for the activity and first commercialization of products was carried out, aiming to evaluate the production cost and revenue of fish farming under different scenarios. For tambaqui Colossoma macropomum and other round fish with a slaughter weight of 2.5 kg, it was identified that the minimum viable module was 0.6 hectares of water surface. The production cost was R$72,067.23, with feed accounting for 65% of this total, followed by labor at 23.5%. The estimated annual profit at first-market prices of R$13.00, R$14.00 and R$15.00 per kilogram were R$5,932.77, R$11,932.77 and R$17,932.77. This result is essential for decision-making by future investments, development agencies and financial agents, since it indicates the minimum viable module capable of generating profit and remunerating the prolabore of the fish farmer.Acesso AbertoAquiculturaCusto de ProduçãoInvestimentoSustentabilidadeViabilidade EconômicaAquacultureProduction CostInvestmentSustainabilityEconomic ViabilityCNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::RECURSOS PESQUEIROS E ENGENHARIA DE PESCA::ENGENHARIA DE PESCACNPQ::CIENCIAS AGRARIAS::RECURSOS PESQUEIROS E ENGENHARIA DE PESCA::AQUICULTURAMódulo mínimo viável para piscicultura familiar em viveiros escavados no Estado Pará, Amazônia, BrasilTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - MonografiaAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives 4.0 International
