The lack of adequate water for consumption shows the disorderly growth of cities, the lack of proper planning and lack of basic sanitation. Sanitation is the control of all the factors of man's physical medium that exert or may exert harmful effects on the physical well-being, mental and social. Water can serve a large number of diseases, such transmission is related to the quality of water borne diseases. From this point, this paper aims to describe the environmental conditions in which he lives the population of bridge sea in the forest district - the city of Portel / PA, identifying the diseases that occur frequently in the city. They were conducted quantitative research with 20 families in the town of Portel, in order to acquire relevant information on the sanitation of the neighborhood. We can conclude that the population is living in an inappropriate area, living in stilt houses on the slope of the beach. Causing increasing environmental degradation. This area inordinately busy show a reality with poor hygiene, water supply, sanitation and inadequate disposal of solid waste, factors that increase the exposure of residents to various environmental and social risks.
