Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8842The article analyzes the cultures and traditions of the municipality of Tracuateua, located in northeastern Pará, highlighting its historical formation, Amazonian festivities, and the construction of local identities. Methodologically, the research is qualitative, exploratory, and descriptive, utilizing documentary research and document analysis. The results show that the historical process of the municipality of Tracuateua is marked by the Belém-Bragança railway, the colonization of migrants, and political emancipation.The religious festivities, especially the feast of Saint Sebastian and the Marujada, reveal themselves as expressions of cultural resistance, collective memory, and strengthening of social cohesion, which contributes to consolidating a unique cultural identity.
