To this end, we seek to understand the teaching and learning process of Geography, emphasizing the importance of active student participation and classroom dialogue. The research characterizes school cartography in elementary school, exploring its pedagogical role and its relevance for this educational stage. Furthermore, it identifies and analyzes scientific research focused on teaching cartography in the final years of elementary school, specifically in the discipline of geography. The analyses are carried out based on databases of Brazilian academic publications, focusing on the proposals for teaching resources presented in these studies over the last 10 years.
