Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8809This paper analyzes the manifestations of gender-based violence in schools, with an emphasis on sexual harassment suffered by female students and teachers at a high school (DMSB) in the municipality of Salinópolis, Pará. The qualitative research was developed based on interviews with a former student and a former teacher, whose accounts reveal experiences of harassment, institutional silencing, and the normalization of violence in the school environment. The analysis is grounded in feminist theoretical frameworks, drawing on authors such as Gerda Lerner, Simone de Beauvoir, bell hooks, and Anna Maria Linhares, discussing the historical invisibility of women, patriarchy, and its implications for education. The results highlight the need to address the sexist culture present in schools through the inclusion of Women's History in the curriculum, the effective implementation of current legislation, and the creation of public policies that ensure the protection and empowerment of women.
