Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9480This article aimed to understand how individuals close to a suicide case experienced and analyzed the topic, emphasizing the fundamental role of school and family in preventing this problem. The research uses a qualitative approach, based on a case study, highlighting content analysis. Participants included the father, a brother, a friend, and a former teacher of a young person who attempted suicide in 2021 in the municipality of Breves-PA. It concludes that suicide is a problem that needs to be discussed in schools, a phenomenon present worldwide and growing in recent years in our region, creating an alarming situation, given the pandemic scenario, which has exacerbated mental health problems.
