Consequently, there is increasing interest in exploring techniques to enhance their mechanical properties through diverse material combinations. This study examined how adding polypropylene fibers and and diferente cement contents affects the strength of a sandy soil from northern Brazil. Samples with 0% and 0.5% polypropylene fibers and 3% and 5% high early-strength Portland cement were tested. Unconfined compressive strength (UCS) tests and scanning electron microscopy were conducted to assess mechanical and microstructural properties. Results indicated a linear increase in strength with higher cement content. Fiber addition notably improved load-bearing capacity and provided greater ductility after failure. Microscopic analysis showed a denser, more cohesive cemented matrix, with polypropylene fibers contributing to better cohesion and stress distribution.
