Trabalho de conclusão de curso (Bacharelado em Oceanografia) - Faculdade de Oceanografia, Instituto de Geociências, Universidade Federal do Pará, Belém, 2011. Acesso em:.http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/1777The work is part of the research projects technologiques PIATAM-sea "(Potential Environmental Impacts of Transport Petroleum Products in the Amazon coastal zone)," AMASIS "(Integration of Geophysical, Geological and Geochemical Reconstruction of the palaeogeography of the Coast Amazon Tertiary to Recent) and "PLAT-NNE" characterization of the physiographic continental shelf: Bulls Areas (NE) and the Amazon estuary (N)), in partnership Petrobras. The bay is part of Marajo marajoara estuarine complex that begins in the Bay of Bocas spanning the river Para.Since this region lacks stamp of geophysical information, the paper adds to the knowledge of the area in the interpretation and recognition of surface morphology background from high-resolution seismic sections along with the production of bathymetric profiles. The seismic survey was conducted on 15 and 03.16.2006 on board the boat "Velho Chico". Profiles of the 19 surveyed, seven cover the measured area of the bay to the island of the Sun Santana interpreted with the use of software Discovery Subbottom 3.33 (Demo Version), and Adobe and Surfer9 Photoshopcs3 compound where they were three profiles in each graphic scale. The bathymetric profiles were made from 2007 nautical chart using the Global Mapper software. Profiler was used to chirp like compartment model SB-512i (X-Star) of frequencies 0.5-12 kHz pulsed FM WB and the DGPS. The acoustic pattern displayed by the three seismic units identified proved to be uniform in the three sections analyzed, being composed primarily of fine sediment (silt-clay) and sand deposited in the hydrodynamic regime of lower and higher energy respectively. The relationship between the structure of the seismic and bathymetric indicated two areas (western and eastern sectors) in the Bay of Marajo with differences in sediment dynamics and circulation in the western sector with the predominance of banks, channels and sand bars deposited under strong hydrodynamic and east a softer and relief channels located along the banks composing finer sediments characteristic of the depositional environment. The shallow seismic allowed the details of the surface morphology and bottom, because it guarantees data with high resolution and high accuracy. With a broad integration of river currents and tidal currents, ranks the estuary of the Bay of Marajo as a highly dynamic environment and energy mixed.Acesso AbertoSísmica rasaSismo-EstratigrafiaMorfologia superficial de fundoPerfis batimétricos.
