Aiming at the thermal comfort of the occupants of the place and the reduction of electricity consumption, a good air conditioning project is important, as it is noticeable the negative influence that a thermally uncomfortable environment can cause in human beings, which can cause suffering and loss of concentration in your internal tasks. In this way, the objective of the work is to calculate the thermal load of an industrial cafeteria that has a total area of approximately 1278m² and with a capacity of 378 people using the methodology present in ABNT NBR16655-3: 2019. Thus, based on the results found, it was possible to estimate the total load of the project at 361,057.06 BTU/h. Having this as a basis, it was possible to compare the results obtained through the equipment installed on site, thus being able to verify the oversizing of the environment. confirming the reason for the complaints from the occupants of the enclosure about feeling “Cold” in the cafeteria since the initial project has two more power plants than necessary.
