Such problems are related to the energy crisis and the increase in pollution due to emission of harmful gases to the natural cycle of the planet. Among the latter methane gas generated in cattle. This study aims to develop an economic feasibility analysis of biogas use for electricity generation by power compensation system (Normative Resolution No. 482/2012) and the marketing of bio-fertilizer for agricultural purposes; from the use of cattle manure on a private estate in the city of Abaetetuba, Pará State. To this end an exploratory research was developed and its specific objectives consisted in characterizing a unit generating biogas base, carrying out the survey costs related to the implementation, maintenance and operation as well as the possibilities of revenue for the applicable indicators (VPL, TIR and Payback) financial analysis with the help of Excel software. As a result, it was observed that the model has favorable conditions, since the indicators were positive and degree of attraction greater than the minimum rate proposal for analysis. Through sensitivity analyzes, it was observed that even with a critical stage, with the drop in revenue, the project behaved within acceptable limits. However, when you perform a scenario analysis to produce electricity only, it was noted that the financial indicators achieved much lower than the desired values, thus showing the dependence of the project on the commercialization of bio-fertilizer. Thus, it was concluded that the initial project is economically viable enabling the economy to the consumption of electric energy and benefiting the environment by contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gases.
