And, to perform the aesthetic improvement of the gingival smile, it is possible to execute gingivectomy and gingivoplasty surgery. For the correction of diastema, reconstruction can be performed in composite resin. The objective of this work is to highlight the importance of the integration of periodontics and dentistry in the aesthetic and functional reconstruction of anterosuperior teeth. In the present case, the 26- year-old female patient complained about the infantilized smile, the shape of the upper lateral incisor on the right side and the spaces surrounding the same tooth that presented altered shape. Periodontal surgery was performed, followed by bleaching and reconstruction in composite resin.
