This article analyzes the relationship between backlog management and the operational performance of a 17-unit fleet over twelve months, utilizing Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), Mean Time To Repair (MTTR), and Physical Availability (PA) indicators. The methodology consisted of correlating the volume of pending orders with the mechanical stability of the assets. The results demonstrate that backlog peaks exceeding 800 orders preceded sharp drops in MTBF, evidencing that the accumulation and lack of backlog execution in preventive interventions lead systems to corrective failures. It was observed that the increase in MTTR during periods of high backlog execution or caused by component failures in more complex or fundamental systems, requires extensive repair times. It is concluded that technical backlog prioritization strategies are essential to avoid catastrophic or recurrent failures, ensuring the fleet's reliability and availability.Acesso AbertoGestão de backlogConfiabilidadeManutenção mecânicaBacklog managementReliabilityMechanical maintenanceCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA MECANICA::PROJETOS DE MAQUINAS::MAQUINAS, MOTORES E EQUIPAMENTOSInfluência de backlogs de manutenção mecânica de equipamentos de mineraçãoInfluence of backlogs on the mechanical reliability of mining equipmentTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - ArtigoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
