Acesso em:https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8181This work arises as a response to the need to explore the educational potential of cinema and promote reflections on childhood as a social construction from the Extension Project "Imagetic Paths of Childhood: cinema, education and contemporary dialogues", developed at the Institute of Education Sciences (ICED/UFPA). With the objective of encouraging students and teachers of basic education to perceive cinema as an important language that can be used in the classroom. Its methodology includes careful selection of films, study sessions and pedagogical workshops, aiming to train teachers and students in film analysis and audiovisual production. Based on authors such as Bergala (2006), Costa (2013), Corsaro (2011), Delgado and Muller (2005), Ferreira (2018), Fresquet (2017), Sarmento (2007). The results highlight the positive impact on the perception of cinema as an educational potential.
