Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7886In recent years, we have seen the proliferation of discourses regarding socio-emotional skills and their relevance for improving the quality of education in Brazil. Several organizations, institutions and foundations have positioned themselves in favor of these competencies, defending the need for them to be incorporated into a unified curriculum project with guarantees and promises of achieving goals and results, increasing effectiveness, productivity and improving performance at school (and in professional life) by students. It is necessary to consider that the school produces governance practices, conducts conduct; In this case, socio-emotional skills manifest themselves as a device capable of controlling subjects, constructing subjectivities, which corroborates medicalizing practices in school education. In this sense, the objective of this work is to problematize socio-emotional skills by carrying out an analysis of the BNCC. This analysis has as its theoretical-methodological reference the thought of the philosopher Michel Foucault based, in particular, on the works The Order of Discourse (1999), The Archeology of Knowledge (2002) and Microphysics of Power (1979). This work has a qualitative, bibliographical nature and sought to examine the incidence of socio- emotional skills in the BNCC in an archaeologically inspired reading, according to Foucauldian models. Database searches of academic texts were carried out to carry out the analysis. And finally, it presents its considerations with the aim of provoking other questions and signaling a relationship between socio-emotional skills and studies on the medicalization of society and neoliberal governmentality in which the analyzed document was produced.
