Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8780This research aims to demonstrate, through bibliometric analysis, approaches to the term “environmental information” in publications in the Information Science Database (Brapci). The general objective is to examine the scientific production of environmental information studies within the context of information science at Brapci. The specific objectives include describing theoretical approaches to information and environmental information; mapping the main authors and publications addressing the term “Environmental Information”; identifying the meanings attributed to the term “Environmental Information” over time; and classifying the theoretical approaches associated with the concept of environmental information. The methodological process uses a qualitative and quantitative approach, combining statistical analysis with qualitative interpretation of the results. This is a bibliographical study aimed at identifying and examining how the term “environmental information” is addressed in the context of information science, based on publications indexed in the Information Science Database (Brapci) from 1981 to 2024. The analysis uses Domain Analysis as a technique, drawing on historical and bibliometric studies. The results include analyses of 42 Brapci publications on the term “Environmental Information,” including authors; years; institutions and places of origin; keywords and citations; as well as definitions and categorizations of meanings related to the term.
