The aim is to investigate the importance of these experiences with sound objects for the comprehensive development of children, highlighting how music contributes to cognitive, emotional, social, and motor growth. Furthermore, it explores teaching practices that promote children's expressive development through music, using both conventional instruments and unconventional sound objects, such as everyday materials. The methodology involves bibliographic and documentary research. The bibliographic research is based on authors such as Frederico Moreira, who describes key concepts of Music in Early Childhood Education, and Angel Pino, who addresses the origins of child development, supported by Vygotsky's theory, which provides a solid theoretical foundation on the value of music in early childhood education and the importance of a mediator in this process through the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD). The documentary research analyzed legislation such as the National Curriculum Guidelines for Early Childhood Education (DCNEI, 2009) and the Common National Curriculum Base (BNCC, 2017). This approach allowed for the alignment of theoretical concepts with institutional and pedagogical contexts highlighted in legislation related to the first stage of basic education and its guidelines concerning the curriculum and musical language. The results emphasize that music, when used intentionally, enhances children's expressive capacity, creativity, and social interaction. The exploration of sound objects, especially unconventional ones, proved effective in stimulating auditory perception and creativity, while also democratizing access to musical experiences.
